This data protection policy applies to the use of the website We take the protection of your personal information extremely seriously and adheres to prevailing data protection laws, including the regulations of the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz, “TMG”) and Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, “BDSG”). Data processing when users visit the »Design & Systems« website

Whenever somebody visits a website, data is gathered and exchanged. Design and Systems does not extend and store any data – but data may be added by third parties (eg videos from Vimeo on our pages):

•    IP address of the computer that submitted the query
•    Client file requests
•    The website that directed you to us (referrer URL)
•    Browser type and version
•    The operating system used by the computer that submitted the query
•    Name of the accessed website
•    File, date, and time of access
•    Volume of transferred data
•    Confirmation of successful access


Integration of services and contents of third parties

Within our online offer, we use third-party content or services based on our legitimate interests (ie interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) DSGVO) to provide their services, such as the integration of videos from Vimeo.

This assumes that these third parties also perceive the IP address of the users, as they could not send the content to their browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content.
The information obtained in this way may be stored in cookies on users’ devices, including, but not limited to, information about browsers and operating systems, referring web pages, visiting hours and other information regarding the use of our online offer, as well as information from other sources.

Vimeo Plugin

We use the provider Vimeo for the integration of videos. is operated by Vimeo, LLC, headquartered at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011. On some of our websites we use plugins from Vimeo. If you call up the Internet pages provided with such a plugin, a connection is made to the Vimeo servers and the plugin is displayed. This will be transmitted to the Vimeo server, which of our websites you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of Vimeo, Vimeo also assigns this information to your personal user account. Clicking on the start button of a video also assigns this information to your user account. You can prevent this association by logging out of your Vimeo user account before using our website and deleting the corresponding cookies from Vimeo.

Using Google Maps

Steinbeis does not share your personal information with third parties. The only times we do not adhere to this fundamental principle are when:
•    you give us your permission to share information
•    information has to be shared in order to deliver products or services that you require
•    a subcontractor that has been hired by Steinbeis to deliver products or services requires information for its intended purpose
•    it is necessary to adhere to a legal obligation to provide information to parties entitled to receive this information

We expressly state that such websites contain third-party content which is not provided or owned by Steinbeis. The owners or operators of third-party websites are responsible for the content of such websites under all circumstances. Websites linked to by our website were checked for illegal content when the link was programmed. No illegal content was found on third-party websites when links were set up.


Standard period for data deletion

There are certain storage obligations and standard storage periods due to legal requirements. After the obligatory storage period, data is routinely deleted. Personal data is also deleted once it has fulfilled the purposed for which it was gathered, assuming it is no longer required or there is no longer any legal foundation for using the data (e.g., withdrawal of consent).
